THIS IS A TITLE

I haven’t posted any doodles lately cause I’m taking it easy on my wrist, but here’s the layout sketch of a recent Spina Cage page. This one didn’t change much from thumb to finished :U

For my little brother’s high school graduation. I just didn’t know I’d be going so early before hand. I haven’t been back in over 3 years so I’m excited to see the 3.5 people in Iowa I actually like, but I don’t enjoy being away from home and my grandmother very long ಠ_ಠ MY MIND IS SUPPLYING IMAGES OF MY GRANDMOTHER THROWING DANGEROUS PARTIES THE MINUTE I CROSS THE STATE LINE DON’T DO IT ABUELITA AHHH

Just learned I’ll be gone for at least two weeks starting in six days. It is definitely not short notice and I am definitely prepared.

I’m always super upset when I get spoiled, so I assume no one else wants to be! There are few things I love more than the shock of a revelation or the satisfaction when plot threads are brought together in a book or movie, so I’d hate to take that away from someone reading my stuff OTL It’s like stealing Christmas man

Momony0: 1) I like to do a mess of sketches while listening to character appropriate music to get a feel and then make a body base in photoshop and just put outfits on top of that. I look at random people’s bodies while out. There are a billion variations in body structure, even in people of the same sex and age and even body type. Also eyebrows. Everything you need to know about who my characters are is in their eyebrows. Eyebrows never lie. 2) YES fer sure! I have it planned to the word. I plan the shit out of things. 3) In highschool, my friends and I decided to all write a modern version of a fairy tale cause dat shit was all the rage. I chose Beauty and the Beast. It was obviously really bad cause I’m not a gud riter. Later on I decided to turn it into a comic cause I like comics and I had a finished story to go off of! 4) Thanks so much!

Cheyinator: NO NEVERRRR. I hate spoilers! Unless you mean like…things that aren’t plot relevant? I wouldn’t mind little things. Like Adrian ends up having to eat a ton of fruit and a horse skeleton shows up. And famous sayings are butchered.

NON STUPID ANSWER: I know exactly how long it is, but I hesitate to tell and ruin….SUSPENSE. Like maybe someone’ll be all “oh man this must be the climax!” and then boom, nope! Or someone will be like “they will totally defeat this obstacle and party on another day!” and then, nope, totally the climax and everyone suddenly dies.

But I can say we have finally exited the introduction phase. We know what must be done and we know the major players. Also it’s somewheeere between six and twelve issues long.

I can’t draw any more today (stressed my wrist scrubbing the shower[it’s always the goddamn shower]), so I don’t have anything to do for the next two hours til bed.

Anyone have any comic related questions for Spina Cage or Siegfried Barbarian King or any one shots or future shit?

Every so often I add faces (mostly background characters) to this reference sheet for a comic I wanna do called Eating Dragonflies. It takes place in a big, multi racial, multi ethnic, multi cultural city. I have a specific ethnic makeup of the city that’s easier to keep accurate if everyone is on one page. Out of these 33 dudes, there are in-universe 5 races, 6 broad ethnicites, and like ten distinct cultures, and many more ethnicities once you get into individual opinions.

So like in the real world, it’s all pretty much nuts and hard to make sense of, but boy do people take it seriously \o/
